During the science class, we talked very intensively about the water cycle. We have learned a lot about which way the water has to go. We talked about rain and why it rains. The rain is very important for many things, for people, animals, plants and much more. I wanted to use an experiment to show the children how you can create rain by yourself. You will need a small aquarium or a bowl, cling film, some warm water, something to catch the rain and cold ice packs.
The children could see exactly what was going on in the tank, and we could watch how it started to rain in it.
At the end, the science children all got a coloring book with the journey of the water drop.
All children had a lot of fun with this experiment, and it gave them an even better idea of, how the water cycle works.
